Ingredients

  • 1 whole curry cut chicken
  • 2 tomatoes pureed
  • 4 table spoon Fried onions
  • 2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoon yoghurt
  • 1 table spoon Whole garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Dhania, jeera, red chilly powders
  • 1 table spoon salt
  • 1 pinch kasuri methi
  • 2 table spoon Oil
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 table spoon methi Dana
  • 2 table spoon ghee
  • 1 finely cut onion
  • 10 to 15 curry leaves
  • 2 cups coconut milk

Instructions

  • Heat oil. Add whole garam masala. Then add ginger garlic paste.
  • Now add the chicken.
  • Fry for few minutes.
  • Add crushed fried onions and all powder masalas. Fry for a minute
  • Now add tomato puree.
  • Cover n let cook for 5 mins.
  • Now add the beaten curd and keep frying for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add a little water and salt to taste. Cover n cook until done.
  • Finally add the pinch of kasuri methi mix and switch off the heat. chicken masala is ready for serving.
  • For Methi khichdi - Wash n Soak 1 cup rice.
  • Soak 2 tblsp methi Dana.
  • After 1 hour, heat 2 tblsp ghee and fry 1 finely cut onion in it until very light brown. add methi Dana and curry leaves alongwith it.
  • Make 2 cups of coconut milk.
  • Add to the onions and add salt to taste.
  • Let it come to a boil.
  • Add the drained rice and cook on slow until done.
