Firstly marinate chicken, place chicken in large bowl.Add salt,ginger paste,garlic paste,red chilly powder.Marinate this for 15 mins.
For onion n coconut mixture, in a pan add 1 teaspoon oil , add 1 onion and 1 cup coconut.Let it cook till brown and crispy.On cooling blend a thick paste in mixer and keep aside.
For gravy in a pan,add 2 teaspoon oil let heat then add cloves, black pepper,cinnamon and bayleaf.Now add paste of 1 onion cook till golden later add tomato puree and let boil.
Then add coconut and onion mixture and cook for 5 mins ,now add little salt and malwani masala.
Finally add marinated chicken and add little water and cook with lid for 10 mins.
