Palak Paneer - a popular dish in Indian house holds , contains spinach which is a great source of nutrition like iron, copper , vitamin E etc. and has cottage cheese , source of protein which makes this preparation a wholesome meal. It can be enjoy with Indian bread or Rice.

Ingredients

  • 500 grms Spinach
  • 300 grms Paneer
  • one big onion sliced
  • Two green chilies
  • One tea spoon cooking oil
  • One tea spoon coriander powder
  • half tea spoon red chili powder
  • one forth tea spoon turmeric powder
  • one small cup curd
  • half tea spoon salt
  • half tea spoon black salt
  • Two cups water
  • 1 table spoon coriander leaves
  • 2 tea spoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • Step 1: Cut and wash the Spinach under the running water 2-3 times now in a pot boil the water and blanch the spinach for 2 mins and switch off the gas and put the spinach in the cold water immediately to keep the green color of the spinach. once its cool down , make a fine puree of spinach in the mixie.
  • Step 2 : Take paneer and cut it in the pieces In a frying pan shallow fry the paneer pieces and keep it aside.
  • Step 3 : In a cooking pan hot the oil and add sliced onion and green chilies and saute then till the time it turn soft.
  • Step 4 : Now add all the dry spices that is coriander , turmeric and red chili powder and add little water and cook them for 2-3 mins.
  • Step 5 : once the spices mix nicely now beat the curd and add it in to the pan , mix all the things together and cook then 4-5 mins also add salt and black salt both.
  • Step 6 :Now its time to add the spinach Puree and water mix things well and cook all the things for around 8-10 mins or till the time the whole mix cooked nicely . also water can be adjusted as per the consistency required.
  • Step 7 : Once the puree is cooked , add paneer pieces and mix everything.
  • Step 8: switch off the flame and add coriander leaves and lemon juice in palak paneer , the dish is ready , serve hot.
