Veg Pulaw is a spicy rice dish prepared by cooking rice with various vegetables and spices. Pulav can me cooked in various styles, even i used to cook it in different style every time.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup rice
  • 1 medium capsicum
  • sliced
  • 1/2 tomato chopped
  • (optional)
  • 1 cup sliced cabbage
  • 1/2 cup flower
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 4-5 chopped green chillies
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin Salt (as needed)
  • 1 cup coriander leaves
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Tej patta (Bay Leaf)
  • 1-2 Chakra Phool ( Star Anise)
  • 2-3 Black pepper
  • 1 Cardamom 1 cinnamon stick
  • Vegetable oil.

Instructions

  • Wash rice well, Take a pan with water , add rice , 1/2 tbsp oil and salt and let it boil (half cooked).
  • Take a pan , heat oil. Add curry leaves, cumin seeds, chopped green chillies.
  • Add Tej patta (Bay Leaf), Chakra Phool ( Star Anise) , Black pepper, 1 Cardamom,1 cinnamon and fry.
  • Add chopped Capsicum, Cabbage, flower in above spices and mix it well, let it fry for min .
  • Add peas and mix it well.
  • Add salt as required, do no add redi chilly and turmeric if you want to make it as white as shown in picture.
  • Add half boiled Rice in spiced mixture , mix it well and cover pan. Let it cook for 10 min.
  • Enjoy the tasty delicious Pulaw with Curd or Rayta. :)
